About Crane Creative
My name is Aaron Crane. I grew up on a potato farm in Idaho, and learned the ethic of hard work at a young age. After leaving the farm it took me a while to find what I really wanted to do. After bouncing around a few majors, and Universities I found myself in southern Utah exploring new ventures.
I am a graduate of Utah Tech University where I studied film and photography. I got my introduction behind the camera around middle school. I took a black and white photography class, and it just took off from there. In high school I injured my foot in football practice, and I couldn't play. So in during my recovery I helped my team by filming practices, and games. While I was going to to school I worked for a sports website called Utah Sports Action where I filmed games, and created highlights. Sports really drove me to dive deeper into the digital media realm.
In college I didn't know exactly what I wanted to study for my major. So I always snuck a photography class in when I could. Eventually I found myself at Utah Tech University. I was sitting down with my counselor who started talking about the film program. He told me the the head of the department worked for NFL Films. Right then and there I was sold. So that is when I decided to not only make film and photography my major, but my profession as well.
Upon graduation I was awarded the Excellence in Digital Film award for 2016.
I have been working in this field for ten years now, and have found success. In 2018 I was awarded Best in Video at Canyon Media, in 2021 I was awarded Creator of the year, in 2023 I was awarded Canyon Media Digital All-Star, and in 2024 I was awarded the Creative Giant award.

After years of working in video production, sports media, and commercial storytelling, I made the decision to pursue Crane Creative Productions full time. What started as a passion for filmmaking evolved into a career built around helping brands, businesses, and communities tell meaningful stories through cinematic content. Today, I continue to grow Crane Creative with a focus on authentic storytelling, strong creative partnerships, and producing work designed to connect with people in a lasting way.
I am a certified drone pilot, and I am passionate about my craft. My goal is to deliver the best product possible to my clients.
